Our story
It all started with a great view…
Travel has always been woven into the fabric of our marriage. From the early days of road trips and budget adventures, to family vacations with five kids in tow, we’ve always believed that exploring new places together was worth every bit of planning, chaos, and joy.
Those years of traveling as a family gave us countless memories and taught us how to pack a car like Tetris pros. But now that our kids are grown and we’ve stepped into our empty-nester chapter, we have the chance to rediscover the world, just the two of us. Well not really, some of our best adventures have been with family and friends even now.
This blog is our way of sharing our adventures. Whether it’s a weekend getaway, a bucket-list trip, or simply finding hidden gems closer to home. We’re excited to document our journey and inspire other couples, friends, and adventures to keep traveling, at every stage of life.
We Continued Our Journey…
It’s been nothing short of the experience of a lifetime, and we are just getting started. From simple weekend getaways to bigger adventures we’ve dreamed about for years, every trip has added a new chapter to our story. Somewhere along the way, we even started on Kurt’s bucket list to visit every NFL stadium – so you’ll often find us cheering on our Arizona Cardinals at away games while discovering new cities at the same time.
Traveling together in this chapter of life has been more than just seeing new places. It’s
allowed us to grow even closer as a couple, stay connected to our grown children, and share unforgettable experiences with friends – both old and new. Each journey reminds us how much joy there is in saying “yes” to adventure! Whether it’s golfing in breathtaking locations, zip lining through rainforests, snorkeling in cenotes, scuba diving into the deep blue, or even sampling foods we never thought we’d try. We’re having the time of our lives, crossing one destination (and stadium!) off the list after another, and chasing one thrill-seeking adventure after the next.
To a Lifetime of Saying “Yes”…
If the past has taught us anything, it’s that the best adventures are still ahead. Our bucket list keeps growing – more NFL stadiums to visit, more hidden corners of the world to discover, and more experiences that push us out of our comfort zones in the best way.
But beyond the destinations, what excites us most is continuing to share this journey together – collecting memories instead of things, building connections with people we meet along the way, and showing that love and adventure don’t have an expiration date.
So here’s to the road ahead, filled with stadium cheers, sunsets in places we’ve yet to imagine, and a lifetime of saying “yes” to whatever adventure comes next.
