Dallas and Waco, Texas Weekend: AT&T Stadium, Magnolia Silos & the Ultimate Cowboys Game Experience

November 2025

AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, has always been right up there on our football bucket list, right alongside Lambeau Field and the Green Bay Packers. The Cowboys may not be everyone’s favorite team, but there’s no denying their legacy as “America’s Team” and the unmatched fame of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. This Monday Night Football matchup promised to be one for the books, so we made it a long weekend filled with Texas-sized fun and unforgettable moments.

Touring “Jerry’s World”

We kicked off the trip with a tour of AT&T Stadium, better known as Jerry’s World, and wow it’s massive! The stadium features 10 distinct seating levels, and its field sits five stories below street level. To give you an idea of its size, the Statue of Liberty (on her pedestal!) could fit on the 50-yard line under the dome and still not touch the roof!

One of the biggest highlights is the enormous four-sided video board suspended 90 feet above the field, measuring 160 feet wide by 72 feet tall making it one of the largest in the world. The stadium also boasts retractable glass end zone walls, multiple club lounges, luxury suites, and the Miller Light (home) and Bank of America Field (visitors) Clubs, where visitors can watch their team run through the tunnel.

The AT&T Stadium Tour (about 90 minutes) is absolutely worth it. You get exclusive access to the Cowboys locker room, the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders’ locker room, broadcaster booths, and on field experience. A must-do before game day!

A Day Trip to Waco – Magnolia at The Silos

One of my personal bucket list stops was Magnolia at The Silos in Waco, TX and it did not disappoint. Created by Chip and Joanna Gaines, the Silos have that perfect mix of Southern charm and small-town comfort.

From the Magnolia Press Coffee Shop to the little white church, lush gardens, and rows of adorable shops, every inch felt peaceful and picture-perfect. We had lunch from the food trucks; The Cheddar Box where we had amazing grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. And The Club Sandwich Truck where we had a delicious marinated chicken bowl. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and made with love.

Of course, I couldn’t leave without a keepsake, so I grabbed a super cute Christmas ornament from Magnolia Market to remember the trip.

A First-Time Stop at Buc-ee’s

On our way back to Dallas, we stopped at Buc-ee’s in Hillsboro, and wow it’s not your average gas station. Buc-ee’s is part gas station, part mini-mall, part BBQ restaurant, and part Texas institution.

There are rows of gas pumps, an entire jerky counter with 20+ varieties, a fudge and sweets section, a wall of Buc-ee’s merchandise, home décor, clothing, and even a smiling Buc-ee’s mascot ready for photos. We left with jerky, fudge, and a whole new appreciation for why Buc-ee’s has such a cult following!

Exploring Fort Worth Stockyards

No trip to North Texas is complete without a stop at the Fort Worth Stockyards. This historic area captures the spirit of the Old West with modern Texas charm.

We spent hours walking through shops, grabbing drinks, and listening to live music. Twice a day, the famous Texas Longhorns parade down Main Street, a sight straight out of a Western movie. Between the rodeo vibe, rustic saloons, and friendly locals, it was easy to lose track of time and just soak it all in.

Terry Black’s BBQ Experience

Dinner that night was a true Texas treat we paid for the full Terry Black’s BBQ Experience in Dallas. This was more than a meal, it was an immersive BBQ journey.

We were invited behind the scenes to tour the pits with the Pit Masters, learning about their smoking techniques and getting a whiff of that incredible smoky aroma. Afterwards, we sat down at our reserved table that was loaded with swag to a feast that could make any BBQ lover weak in the knees: brisket (flat, point, and chopped), sausages, turkey, beef plate ribs, potato salad, coleslaw, mac and cheese, green beans, and more.

And just when we thought we couldn’t eat another bite, out came dessert – pecan pie, peach cobbler, and both banana and chocolate pudding. Every bite was perfection. Huge shoutout to Yoli and Pit Master Josh, who made the experience even more fun and memorable! This was worth every penny spent for the experience and the amount of food you receive.

Monday Night Football – Cardinals vs. Cowboys

Game day! We had incredible seats – Section 135, Row 13, Seats 13 & 14 complete with Field Club access. Before the game, we hung out in the exclusive lounge alongside player families and select Cardinals fans.

One of the most exciting moments was standing right in the team tunnel as the players and coaches ran out onto the field, pure adrenaline! From our seats, we watched President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush take part in the coin toss, and during halftime, we were moved to tears when Lee Greenwood performed “God Bless the USA” as the stadium honored Medal of Honor recipients.

To top it all off, the Cardinals defeated the Cowboys 27–17, and we celebrated the win with the team as they ran back into the tunnel. The energy that came from Monti Ossenfort as he greeted every player as the came back into the tunnel after the win was absolutely electric. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

If you plan to attend a game at AT&T Stadium, I highly recommend booking Club Seats with Field Club access. You’ll enjoy premium food, shorter lines, and the unforgettable opportunity to stand in the tunnel as your team takes the turf.

Final Thoughts

Dallas and Waco offered everything – luxury, history, BBQ, and football magic. Between exploring Magnolia, cheering at AT&T Stadium, and eating our way through Texas, this trip was one for the books.
